The Wine Company’s rustic charm with its wooden tables and floors may trick you into believing that you are at a steakhouse. Its ambience removes some of the pretension associated with drinking wine. As you enter, the wine display suggests a retail element, but nothing leaves the restaurant; all you get is what you consume on the spot. The wine list is extensive with wines served by the glass at modest prices ranging from Rs 225 to Rs 295. There is an emphasis on new world wine priced up to Rs 2200 for a bottle. There is a modest cocktail list (mojitos, caprioskas, etc) as well, but this is definitely a wine drinker’s destination.
As usual we got to experience a great overall experience at the ever popular wine co, with it's great new menu, excellent service and good atmosphere
If you are working in Gurgaon, chances are you must have heard about wine company from your colleagues/friends.It's located in cyber hub on ground floor and upon enetering inside the main hall of restaurant on your left you see exquisite collection of wines sourced from some of the best vineyards of the world with open n spacious hall.Upon being seated our server suggested us wine as per our taste with great food. Wines can be paired with amazing food they serve inhouse. We ended up spending more than 4 hours at wine house. We were specially pleased with signature karari roti served with minced lamb and cheese, pork belly(not consumed by me but my friends) was amazing as per them and they ended up ordering twice in span of 30 minutes, slow cooked bbq sauce chicken wings amazingly spicy and too tempting once they were served on our table, from main course we ordered sea salt rubbed chicken with red wine jus turned out to be least favoured dish on table not only it was lacking texture but was also short of being near good to eat,it never ever makes any sense to try any chicken based dishes as they serve you broiler chicken which is borderline of being vegetarian and non vegetarian and is complete waste of money and star of the night was mix meat pizza which was thoroughly enjoyed by my accompanying friends but going by the look on there face with first bite it must have been amazing, too heavy and too yummylicious as per my friends.Wine house company is bit on expensive side in comparison to other restaurants and have a limited but superb menu to try the food from.Great food, great atmoshphere ,prompt service, fancy location with dedicated smoking zone of wine house company with seating outside. Recommended if you are heavy on wallet and looking for great food with great wine
I went to The wine company to celebrate my friends birthday. It was best time I've spent. Best people around. I met Sumit, Viplav & Neeraj there, well trained sommelier's of future they're. Keep up the good work boys. See you again.
Considering the no of options we have in gurgaon.. This place is not at all recommended to visit you can have several good options as compared to this overpriced option and there service is mot that good also
I recently visited one of the finest and my favourite place in cyber hub. This time tried the new menu by Australian Master chef Sarah Todd. Her take on the street food of India. She has beautifully incorporated minute ingredients from Indian street food with some fusion. One of the best was the Flambé Kashmiri Kalari cheese with Old monk. With chargrilled bell peppers and onions with Mediterranean spices. Shiitake and wombok momo with chilli dip- Wombok, a Chinese cabbage stuffed inside Delhi’s favourite street food momos. These were absolutely delicious. Soft shell crab pakora - This was utterly delicious. Tasted so good with nahm jim (a dip made of coriander and other ingredients I don’t remember) and served with pomelo salad. Thin tempura layer over the crab made it crispy and balancing it was the pomelo salad. Red wine duck Kulcha - Tandoori kulcha with cranberry jam spread topped up with duck poached in red wine. I tried it for the first time. Quinoa Biryani - Biryani being the most loved dish in Hyderabad, this was slightly different from the regular biryani. Quinoa with edamame and fried onions, avocado raita and pomegranate. Worth every penny. After all this, I was feeling full but there was space for desserts. Lamington- dessert with a layer of soft sponge, chocolate mouse and topped with dried coconut . Served with coconut ice cream and this combination is to die for. Overall, it was a great experience at The Wine Company yet again. The new menu has lot of new fusion dishes to try and yes they serve Frostini, the frozen rose wine cocktail. Definitely visiting this place again.
Cyber hub in Gurgaon is turning out to be the mecca of food lovers. It has reached the top list of most loved place to hang out with your pals. For few of us who savour our wines and are walking encyclopaedia of grape culture then ‘the wine company’ is the place to be. Concept of this establishment is so unique and unassuming that for a minute you check if you have come to the right place. Entire idea of wine and dine is taken seriously here. You can see the floors are bare and the seating is humble to say the least. Then you turn around and notice the display of wines standing proudly under the twinkling lights. Old wine barrels lends originality to the mood of the restaurant. The décor is no nonsense and leans heavily on the French vineyards earthiness.
Wine list presented to you is detailed and longer than anything you have seen before. The food menu is designed in a way that pairs with wines and enhances the taste. Pancakes, goat cheese salad, balsamic braised warm mushrooms, French onion soup act as fantastic intro. Appetizers namely carari roti, jalapeno corn fritters, bruschetta platter buffalo chicken wings are widely ordered. Fire grilled wafer thin pizzas are superb to soak up that wine yet lending a peppery aftertaste. Italian food is passed around from the kitchen with remarkable speed bringing cheers from the receivers. The diners are a happy lot high on wine and good food. For more fulfilling meal pies, burgers and hotdogs with relish is available. Fillet mignon and roasted chicken serve as comfort food on cold nights. Wine based cocktails are on the menu too if you want to drink differently. There are over 150 kinds of wines and spirits to choose from.
The prices are reasonable for two i.e. sixteen hundred approx. The wine company hosts several gigs like wine tasting sessions with professionals. To tap your feet after a round of wine salsa nights and ladies nights are widely popular. With live gigs to push matter along the way you find yourself landing with a pretty good deal. An evening with amazing music, sipping your chosen wine sounds like a perfect date come true.
A bottle of nice Sauvignon goes down beautifully on a date, if the couple drinking it are wine enthusiasts themselves. To make for a Special Occasion even more special for your partner, browse through The Wine Company’s excellent wine list and pick a year that will make this evening even more memorable for you both. The bar is unique in itself as it is one of the few wine bars in the city who puts main focus on the wine itself. Tucked into Cyber Hub, Gurgaon, The Wine Company dazzles you by pairing its European menu with right kind of wines.
