One of the very first few Asian restaurants has always been a special one and that is simply because of the quality of food. The taste and flavours are very reminiscent of the flavours from the Asian subcontinent and the specialities include Prawn Khao Suey, Crispy Fried Lotus Stem amongst the range of Dimsums. The casing of the Dimsums is nice and thin and there is a lot that has gone into the making of those fine dumplings loaded with meat or veggies.
The new and modern look of the rather familiar Mainland China restaurant is here to attract the young guns and Asian Food lovers. With everything from great Sushi Rolls. Asian Broths with Noodles, Steamed Baos and the twist on some of the classics keeps this one on top of the list. The Mushroom and Truffle Oil Risotto is something more on the Bistro lines and not very Asian but the Trio of Mushrooms is totally loveable. The desserts have an Asian twist too, Date and Chocolate Dumplings is the one you must not miss!
One of the finest when it comes to some great Singaporean, Japanese and Vietnamese food. The menu touched every part of Asia you probably have been to or love the food of. The Mango and Coconut Puffs make up for a great appetizer, something that is different and very likeable. The massive choice of Sushi and Sashimi is really great and the experience is something you would never forget. With all the edible flower glitz and glamorous looking plate, the taste of the Sushi rolls is brilliant too, all credit goes to the fine makers along with the fine quality of produce that is available here.
One of the most certain places to visit when you think of Asian cuisine, and South East Asian cuisine to narrow down further. Some of the dishes on the menu are quite average but they taste good, it is more of repetitive flavours loaded with galangal, lemongrass and several others which are certainly important to define Asian cuisine. The portion sizes are quite alright and good enough for two people to share, and amongst the varied choice of wines and drinks, the experience remains nice and memorable.
Some fine Sushi, amazing Noodles and some really great Seafood appetizers are special here. They are mainly kept true to its flavours because the essence of real Asian food remains in the simplicity of its flavours and not to diminish them. They pretty much nail the Duck Spring Rolls and Gyoza Chicken Dumplings, they not only taste great but they even look brilliant on the plate before served. Even the mains, they are kept fairly simple and true to the taste, the Phad Thai or Singaporean Vermicelli Noodles are some great tasting dishes that go well along with seafood curries.
The fun, new Asian bistro is a rather overdone combination of food and ambience. No doubt, the food tastes good but you may want to totally avoid the regular desi-Chinese options which are far away from Asian. The menu is a good mix of Vietnamese inspired Baos, Dumplings and there is Sushi as well. The Baos are probably a few of the best you can eat in the city while the other stuff is pretty regular and decently flavourful.
A lot of the menu is completely inspired by our Asian counterparts when it comes to taste and flavours. It may be notable to see the use of daikon, pickled carrots and a whole lot more to spruce up the taste of what you eat here. The Curry and Noodle Bowls are totally awesome and the Katsu Ramen is unmissable. The other appetizers and even the Asian large plates are really well made, and super delicious.
