After months of being under lockdown, many restaurants in Bengaluru are gearing up to reopen their doors by embracing the ‘new normal’. They have started putting in place systems precautions in accordance with the safety advisories issued by the Government. While proper hygiene and social distancing are among the top priorities to be taken into consideration in setting up seating infrastructure, some eateries are going an extra mile and installing transparent partitions between tables to completely avoid physical contact between separate parties of guests. All restaurants are allowing only two diners per table and are functioning at 50% capacity. Some precautionary measures that are followed to the ‘T’ by all food establishments include availability of sanitizers at the entrance as well as tables, proper markers for social distancing, and thermal screening.

When it comes to food and serving, more and more restaurants are serving food in disposables to avoid reuse of utensils. Entire working staff is mandated to wear hand gloves and undergo regular temperature checks throughout the day.
