Flanked by luxury stores and faux palm trees, Café E is cushily spread out in the atrium of DLF Emporio. Run by the same team as Set’z, Café E plates up most of its menu from a small kitchen behind the central counter. My 'Eggs Benedict' was served to please with neatly poached eggs resting on toasted English muffins, smoked salmon and topped with a velvety hollandaise. The eggs were seasoned without a vinegary aftertaste and served with a lush bundle of rocket leaves tossed in pesto. Some desserts are carted in from Set’z and the 'Chocolate Tiramisu' was an indulgent slab of ladyfinger biscuits and mascarpone soaked in good espresso and drizzled with a slightly cloying Kahlua and chocolate sauce. The service and café-food at Café E is expectedly first-rate but the prices are unexpectedly reasonable.
