Pan Asian cuisine is a personal favourite of mine and is often my chosen course of action if I’m not feeling too adventurous. But lucky for us the city of Delhi is home to some of the most fabulous Pan Asian restaurants. This cuisine is created by combining simplest of ingredients with the right aromatic and prepare them to their best form. The food literally sings on the plate when the chef is done with it. The restaurants in the city master this cuisine and the chefs cooking there are native of the said country so you are assured of the authenticity. ‘Tian – Asian Cuisine Studio’ is a spectacular place to wine and dine someone on impressive Asian fare. Although expensive the place deserves accolades because of the chef Vikramjeet Roy who with his molecular magic has placed the restaurant in the line with the best.
If on a restricted budget and very active taste buds, then go head towards ‘Mamagoto’. This popular chain of restaurants excel in Pan Asian fare and cooks them to perfection. Easy on pocket and quirky to boot this place is cheerful and fun. ‘EEST’ of The Westin Hotel is ruled by three masterchefs who are trained in their cuisines and are known to prepare them most authentically. The Japanese, Chinese and Thai cuisines are given the equal treatment here and are encouraged to shine through. Chef Raymond Sim presides over the mantle of ‘R.E.D’ at Radisson Blu, and has been for years impressing his regulars with his sensational Singaporean chilli crab, coffee pork and prawns with oats. The personal attention the chef lavishes on his guests by talking to them is nice. ‘Rice’ is Radisson Blu Dwarka’s popular Pan Asian restaurant and is the local families go to place on weekends so book previously to avoid difficulty. Décor of brass faux lamps on the ceiling is stylish and adds an extra touch to the room. Tip: The regulars adore their sliced chicken with celery and bamboo shoots.
To impress an important business associate with glamour take him to The Suryaa Hotel’s ‘Sampan’ which is their spectacular rooftop restaurant. The place is hopping in evenings so you will get quite a boost by dining there. View is fabulous and so is their food. You will never guess the presence of such a dramatic and stylish restaurant in the hustle-bustle of busy Ambience Mall. ‘Kylin Premier’ is decorated in an edgy traditional manner and is a great option to dine at before heading home. Their sushi, sole fillet in Malaysian sambal and miso scallops are delicious. The Pan Asian restaurants featured above have a distinct unique flavour that separates them from each other. They are suitable to different pockets but the superb quality is their common trait. There can be no better platform to showcase such a beautiful cuisine than these top restaurants.
