It gets its name from the art of using beautiful seashells, commonly found on the beach, for framing windows of the grand stately houses, called Capiz. An early evening to late night lounge, this entertainment venue has live music and serves up some tantalising cocktails, fondue and tapas. Sit in air-conditioned comfort or on the verandah just outside or even near the wood fireplace put out during the season, it has an ideal setting for a perfect evening. Sample the ginger bay – gin, ginger, fresh pineapple, lime and tonic water to get started after which dive right into the fondue (enough for two). A Choice of two menus is available – cheese or chocolate. The USP’s are Chilli Cheese (English cheddar, chilli, garlic) or the Yin–Yang (dark and white chocolate). An out-and-out display of ingredients to be speared in the molten cheese is laid in front. Have fun losing your ingredients within the molten pot of goodness.
