  • 'Raan e Machaan' is a must-try dish in the starters where a whole leg of lamb is slow cooked till the meat falls off the bone and it tastes great with some 'Tandoori Roti'
  • Being in West Bengal, freshwater 'Tandoori Bhekti' is a must-try. The fish is sweet and is cooked to perfection. There are 3 flavour options for the fish, however, my pick is the 'Sarsonwali', which is a perfect balance to the taste of the fish
  • 'Charcoal Grilled Dhuandaar Lal Murgh Tikka' is beautifully spiced and the chicken is soft and juicy

Located inside Avani Riverside Mall, this is the good old Machaan with its jungle-themed interiors and mouth melting kebabs. The ambience is a bit too dark but that’s the charm of this place. With animal statues, tribals with bows and arrows, lots of trees and animal sounds, there is an eerie feeling. 'Daal Machaan' is a rendition of dal makhni and is creamy and buttery. 'Murgh Makhni' alongside 'Multani Paratha' is a good combo. Most of the food is quite spicy and if you have kids, then you need to request to reduce the spice levels, which again is possible in only a few dishes.
