This small but cosy restaurant, where the name means, ‘wives’ in Marathi, is run by two enterprising women. It has a fairly exhaustive and varied menu for a restaurant this size. Seafood, Hyderabadi and North Indian non-vegetarian fare, is their focus. The décor is elegant, with clean interiors and the vibe is warm and inviting. From 'Paya Shorba' to a 'Shikampuri Kabab' and 'Mutton Chaap' to 'Tandoori Fish', carnivores truly have a lot to choose from. The biryanis here are extremely popular. Vegetarians, fret not, as there are abundant options for you as well. The 'Tandoori Bharwan Aloo' and 'Paneer Tikka' are worth trying. The 'Alu Tamatar Rassa' although flavourful, is overpowered by the robust spices. The 'Chicken Sukka' pairs well the 'Chapattis', a la home style. One can opt for 'Bhakris' too. The 'Sol kadi' here is refreshing and exceedingly well-made. The food here is of good quality, boasts of its distinct spin and the portions are hearty. Desserts are nothing to write home about. Usually one of the owners is around and the service staff is polite and helpful. One can expect a home-style, pocket-friendly meal here.
