This could be your standard hotel coffee-shop but is much more because of two reasons. The first is the view: you overlook the rocks where the Arabian Sea lashes against Land's End. And the second is the quality of the buffet. The contrast is with Vista's sister restaurant at the Taj Mahal Palace Shamiana, which does a basic buffet. Vista, on the other hand, does the best buffet in Mumbai. You'll get everything from excellent Indian food, to great desserts, to Western dishes that are world class.
Delicious food. Friendly staff. Amazing views of the sea face. Stopped by for an evening snack and coffee on a monsoon evening. Loved it. Make sure you book a table at he Upper deck for best views. Ideal for couples and families alike!
The breakfast choice is vast and international. It would be hard for anyone not to find something lovely to eat. My dinner was eaten alone with my kindle and I felt perfectly at ease. I had a Mushroom Fricassee which was absolutely delicious, I am not a vegetarian but if all veg food was as good as that I could be persuaded
we had cold coffee which was excellent and also had veg pizza . delicious. very nice place for a quiet dinner . they have outdoor sitting arrangement which is also very nice. can see the sunset from there its beautiful. will surely go there again . would like to try the breakfast buffet. the swimming pool area is also very nice.
Yes its bad , i mean really bad. Located on the 2nd Floor of Taj Lands End i had 2 Breakfast here and 1 Lunch. Lunch was not that busy yet staff were very slow in service and discussing among themselves who needs to do what and how one of them was going to teach another a lesson . You should not discuss your personal stuff in front of guests dining. Coming to the food, the food is bad, i mean really bad. I did not find any flavour in any of the dishes i had for lunch. The pepperoni pizza was the saving grace and helped me though i had to wait a good 20-25 minutes for it even though it was not busy. Breakfast is really busy but the service staff is on their toes and does make sure you are served fast. Again i found that the food quality and taste to be really bad. I ordered an eggs Benedict and i found the egg to be over cooked where the yolk was already solid and the hollandaise sauce was too thick and tasteless. No one even asked me why i had not eaten it and left it on the table. The plain dosa was nice but the sambar was too watery. The best thing i had for breakfast was the masala chai which is served by a girl Ms Kaur ( i believe thats her name ) with a million dollar smile. She knows how to cheer you up. Thank you for the wonderful tea every day. Would i eat here again, nope, Never.
High class vg / non-veg Indian / continental food, round the clock. Buffet is very well organized and balances all categories. Indian food in based on state themes: Punjab / Maharashtra / Hyderabad .... Good presentation of boiled / less oily and spicy as well as traditional spicy Indian dishes. If you happen to visit around mid night, are sure to dash into some Bollywood celebrity..
View alone is what gains the restaurant its fan base. The regulars flock to the restaurant to sit near the windows to admire the sea waves crashing on the rocks earning the hotel its name Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The hotel’s location and it’s all day dining restaurant’s view is incredible. For maximum pleasure ask to be seated outside on the patio that overlooks the sea and awards the viewers an unbarred view of the city skyline. It’s truly a magnificent sight. ‘Vista’ named appropriately is a stunning restaurant that caters to its patrons 24/7. During the day it is comparatively quiet but gains momentum as the evening falls. As the sun drops in the sky and city comes alive with thousand lights the restaurant too gets invaded by the regulars and in house guests. The restaurant has the best F&B team in India so rest be assured you will be treated wonderfully.
The restaurant is headed by celebrated Chef Anirudh Roy who presents to the patrons one of the most lavish buffets in the city. He uses his skills to give to you a spread worthy of a king ranging desserts, Indian delicacies and western concoctions of endless variety. He gets his ingredients delivered from Paris’s Rungis market so that his food has an extra edge. Instead of picking up the a la carte menu opt to visit on a Sunday. It’s in his Sunday buffet that Chef Roy surpasses himself. You will find the quality of the buffet extremely high but surprisingly the cost is kept on the same level as the competition. The F&B manager Akshay Tripathi will make your visit a pleasant one. He and his staff will try to make your dining experience with them not only memorable but an exciting one.
