The peppy graffiti on the walls and Venice beach style decor will immediately put you in a healthy mood at The Salad Story. The menu goes the whole hog and fits in enough salads and low-cal dishes to offer something for everyone. I liked my 'Mix Berry Mint Iced Tea' did not come out of a syrup bottle and could be made with an artificial sweetener on request. The 'Grilled Chicken' and 'Blueberry Vinaigrette Salad' was momentarily exciting with savoury blobs of goat cheese in tango with dried blueberry. However, it eventually pulled its punches with a drab dressing and dry chicken slices. The kitchen made a comeback with its signature 'Story Meals Salad', a refreshing Bhelpuri-like medley of barley, puffed rice, lentils, chickpeas and chicken in a Sriracha dressing. Mix well and stuff yourself.
