Owned by three partners, a local businessman and two Frenchmen, one of whom is a chef, Rara Avis is more a restaurant than a bistro with comfortable sofas and friendly casual service under the watchful eye of the partners. The food consists of classic brasserie dishes like French onion soup and snails in garlic butter along with steak tartare and tarte aux poireaux. The room is gloomy but the open terrace attempts to bring a flavour of Paris to Greater Kailash.
